 “Mandated Reporter: Identifying and Reporting Child Abuse and Maltreatment”

 

Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007

Henrietta Fire Department Station 6 Training Facility

Corner of East River Road & Erie Station Road Henrietta, NY

 

7:00 -9:30 pm (registration opens at 6:30 pm)

Cost: FREE (but you must pre-register with FASNY)  

  • During this workshop, participants will learn common definitions and how to identify physical and behavioral indicators associated with abuse and maltreatment.
  •  
    In addition, participants will practice evaluating case scenarios to determine reasonable cause to suspect if abuse or maltreatment has or is occurring. 
  • Participants will also learn how to complete reporting requirements to fulfill their professional legal mandate and learn about the legal framework of the New York State Child Protective System.

 

There is NO CHARGE for this workshop. Training is provided to Mandated Reporters to improve reporting and awareness of child abuse and maltreatment reporting requirements.    All participants receive a Certificate of Attendance.
