EMS Update 3-3-08

Great Northern Pizza - A Special Thank You to this local Company, who not only purchased and has renovated the former Bushnell's Basin Fire Station on Route 96 into another of their restaurants, but for their Company sponsoring a Special Tasting Night this past weekend, which allowed people to get to know this restaurant, while donating monies back to the Bushnell's Basin FD. Not only does this company have a Quality product, but they want to support our local Emergency Services.

Who is your Patient
- With the arrival soon of better weather, many people will be out enjoying nature, by walking, biking or other activities. For those patients who are often found unattended, without identification, the task of getting information and notifying family is made much more difficult. Please set a example in the Community and always have identification on you whatever you are doing and encourage others to follow your lead.

Monroe County CAD Project
- Vendor Presentations - The five (5) companies that meet the criteria set by the 911 Center to develop and produce the next Computer Aided system will be providing Vendor presentations to allow any one associated with Emergency Services to view, review and comment on these system. Each session will last four (4) hours, with 3 hours or presentation and 1 hr for questions. All sessions will be hosted at the Monroe Community Hospital 7th floor Conference room, with parking provided in any of the lots surrounding the facility.

Schedule
Tuesday - March 4 - 1300 to 1700 hours - Intergraph
Wednesday - March 5 - 0800 to 1200 - Motorola
Wednesday - March 5 - 1300 to 1700 - New World Systems
Thursday - March 6 - Northrup Grumman
Thursday - March 6 - Tiburon

CAD Project Meeting
- On Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at 1900 at the PSTF, the Consultant that is working to help develop this project will meet with members of ALL Emergency Services to explain, as well as take suggestions on items that agencies feel would be a addition to the system. Please plan to attend to help develop the system that will be used to notify agencies for many years to come.

Be Seen - Please remember to wear the provided High Visibility clothing that you are provided to insure that the public can see you. At a scene, we can easily blend in with the vehicles, lights and confusion and the public may not see us while we do our job(s).

STEP - April 11 and 12, 2008 at the RIT Conference Center - Don't miss out on the opportunity to hear local/national speakers, timely EMS news and review of local incidents during this 2 day Locally produced Conference. Get signed up soon, so someone else does not get to take the seat in a seminar that you want to learn at!
