Daylight Savings
- For those of you that I have caused to be 2 hours late for this past week, I apologize for thinking one thing and typing another regarding turning the clocks ahead last weekend. You still should check the batteries in your Detectors and Flashlights!!

3/10/2008 - Thank you to everyone for their tremendous support on a day when the EMS/Health Care system was severely strained. On a average day, there are 280 EMS calls for service dispatched to the Volunteer/Career agencies combined. On this day, there were 336 requests for service. This volume, along with other factors in the health care system lead to significant delays for response, as well as within the triage system

This day did not occur without many people taking notice and working TOGETHER to help come up with solutions to help minimize these type days in the future. While no one will say it will not happen again, please remember that EVERYONE, from the 911 Dispatcher, Personal on Ambulances and ALS units and Hospital personal are all in this business for the same reason and that is to provide the best service possible to the patients we serve. Thank you for taking a moment and seeing their frustration, which likely is the same as yours, so we can better help everyone thru these times together, both providers and patients.

First Day of Spring - March 20th - While the weather outside may or may not reflect this rite of seasons, Spring is here and with it comes the variety of Spring/Summer related incidents for help. Please take a moment to review the common calls and your response to these calls for help.
