Bergen Working Fire

Here are the pic's from this mornings fire in Bergen.  Churchville sent 2 pumpers, 1 tanker and an ambulance to the scene.  Gates Co 3 filled in at Churchville.  Brockport sent 1 pumper and a ladder to the scene and 1 pumper to fill in Bergen.  Mumford and Morton operated at the scene with pumper tankers.  Chili filled in at Bergen, Spencerport/Hamlin filled in at Brockport.  Genesee county and Orleans county had too many departments to list with tankers.

Command of this incident was Bergens Chief 301/Churchvilles Chief 4C-12 (had to have 2 because of different radio systems until a patch was sent up).   An exterior attack was called early on due to fire load/volume, construction, and low water pressure.  Problems with the water pressure force a lengthy pumper relay on the south side operations.

South side operations consisted of Churchvilles deputy chief  4C-22/Bergens deputy chief 302 .  The south side pumper relay consisted of 2 churchville pumpers and 2 additional pumpers to feed multiple master streams including Leroy's tower.

North side operations consisted of Brockport 2C-13 & 2C-23/Bergen Deputy chief 303 .  Bergens/Brockports equipment set up a tanker relay on the North side to feed Brockports aerial and multiple master streams.  North side operations were hampered by overhead high voltage lines and low water pressure.

Water supply operations consisted of Genesee county, Monroe County Coordinators and Morton 2C-11.  CSX train operations were halted so LDH to Leroys tower and master streams could cross the tracks.  Eventually CSX traffic resumed when Leroys tower repositioned south of the tracks operating over the trains (you don't see this everyday).  Due to Firefighters efforts and newly constructed additions with fire walls the west portion of the structure and newly purchased equipment was saved
