New Pumper Tanker for Walker


The Walker Fire Department is in the process of placing a new Advantage Class Spartan / Crimson pumper tanker into service. The apparatus is equipped with a 1500 GPM pump and carries 1500 gallons of water, along with 2,000 feet of 4" LDH hose. All equipment is enclosed, including ground ladders which are carried in the interior of the apparatus. The 6 man cab is equipped with quick release SCBA seating and will have portable radios for all responding personnel. The 8 KW Harrison hot shift generator will provide more than adequate power to any incident scene. The Spartan / Crimson is the first truly all custom apparatus to be placed into service by the Walker Fire District.
