Happy Ice Rescue - Thank You to everyone who was able to attend the presentation on Tuesday, December 11th at the County Legislative Chambers. This was a opportunity for the County Executive and the Legislature to recognize the efforts of this day and the service you provide in the communities daily. Thanks to everyone for their flexibility, due to the large crowds.

Thanks to everyone for their support of this valuable exhibit. Unfortunately their were a few concerns with the free Emergency Service admissions earlier this week. .

Tuesday - This event was publicized in the Democrat and Chronicle, as well as the museum was contacted to confirm the event on Tuesday and Wednesday Unfortunately the real event was being held on Wednesday and Thursday, so members that went on Tuesday found the museum closed.

Wednesday - Good and Bad - Due to the publicity of this event, the capacity of the museum was met and exceeded by 1830 hours. People coming after that time were not allowed entry into the museum

A Life is Saved - On prior to the Nazareth Woman's basketball Game around 1800 hours, there is going to be a Ceremony to allow the patient whose life was saved on Sunday, November 18, 2007 by the efforts of many people, CPR and AED use, to meet the "Heroes" of that day. We invite everyone involved in this Great call, their families and everyone in Emergency Services to join us that night to recognize this incident, as well as to publicize the importance of CPR training and Public Access AED's. Any questions relating to this event should be directed to Coordinator Evans and Nazareth Media Relations personnel Julie Long.

Edward "Red" VerWeire - The Fire Service lost a great leader this week with the passing of Red VerWeire. Mr VerWeire served on many locally, regionally and statewide committees and organizations and was a visionary in his views on the Fire Service. Red also served for many years in the Monroe County Fire Bureau as a Executive Deputy Fire Coordinator.
