MOLST - This important policy and document, Medical Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment, was previewed last week, in a very informative DVD that included several of our own Third Battalion personal. This program is designed to provided the best Quality of Care that a Individual would like near the end of their life. This document works in conjunction with Health Care Proxy and Living Wills, but provides additional assurance of the patients wishes.
In the near future, each agency will be receiving a package containing this DVD, information and MOLST forms for your review. Safety Council of Central/Western New York - We are very fortunate to have a local resource, affiliated with the National Safety Council, which can assist Individuals and Agencies in a wide variety of Safety Training needs. This agency also provides training for agencies members, as well as the service of insuring that Car Seats are installed properly. Underage Drinking Tipline - The Monroe County Sheriffs Department and Local Police Agencies, in cooperation with several surrounding counties have developed a Tipline ! Service t information of underage parties either before or while they are occurring. The number to call is (800) 851-1932. This service is designed to allow for reporting of activities which are harmful to the health, safety and welfare of our young adults.
