December 24, 2009
The Hilton Fire Department was dispatched for smoke coming from the walls of a residence on Manitou Rd last evening. Hilton received an update while responding of a firefighter on location reporting a smoke condition in the house. Hilton Quint 260 arrived on the scene and set up infront of the house. The manpower from Hilton’s Quint took interior operation and Hilton 2c36 took command. Hilton Engine 262 was soon on the scene, prepared a plug for water supply. Hilton Rescue 268 also responded to the scene with manpower. Hilton 2C36 completed a size-up and received an update from 2C76 that they had a fire in a ceiling and that the interior crews had knocked the fire down with a water can. Command reported the fire out and that crews would be checking for extension. Command than turned the scene over to the Greece Fire Marshall and all units returned in-service. The fire is under investigation.
