2-2-2 Extra Alarm Fire

Rochester Firefighters responded for a house fire this evening on Genesee Park Blvd. Quint 5 was on location with heavy fire from the “A” side second floor. Battalion 2 took command and reported a working fire in a 2 1/2 with fire on the second floor with extension into the attic. Initial reports of people trapped proved false after firefighters completed a primary and secondary search of the structure. Three firefighters were injured while fighting the fire and the cause of the fire is under investigation. The fire was under control in about 40 min with significant damage to the second floor and attic.

Brighton and Gates firefighters each sent an Engine and Quint to stand by while Rochester was working the fire and other incidents.
