Water Rescue

Shortly before 23:00 hours tonight a downtown city assignment was dispatched for a man that jumped from the Main St bridge into the Genesee River. Shortly thereafter units found the victim on a shoal in the middle of the river and a restricted alarm was put into effect. RG & E slowed the slow of the river. About a half hour later the the man was pulled from the river. Apparatus on scene included Engines 17, 1, Trucks 10 and 4, Quint and Midi 6, Rescue 11, Special Ops 2, Battalion 2 and the Deputy Chief.

Greg Drew of Rescue 11 went down on the rope to rescue the victim.
