Working Fire

Rochester Firefighters responded early this morning for a house fire on Normandy Ave. While responding, the assignment was filled out for numerous calls reporting a fire. Quint 5 went on location with flames from the “C” side of a 2 1/2. Battalion 2 took command and reported heavy fire in the attic of a vacant 2 1/2. Truck 10 responded as the RIC while Engine 5 was special called to assist. One Firefighter was injured as he fell down the attic stairs. The fire was under control in about 40 min and the cause is under investigation.
