Fatal Motorcycle Accident

Rochester Firefighters and Rural Metro Paramedics responded this evening to the 200 block of Newcomb street for an motorcycle accident.  Witnesses reported they heard a big bang.  Paramedics transported a man in his 40’s to Strong Memorial Hospital after his motorcycle struck a tree head on. The man latter died at Strong Memorial Hospital.

Police Officer Involved Shooting

Rochester Firefighters and Rural Metro Paramedics responded this evening to a police officer involved shooting on Portland Ave and Durnan St on the city’s northeast side.  Paramedics treated and transported a shooting victim from Portland Ave and Randolph St, to Strong Memorial Hospital.  The incident occurred at approximately 5:17 pm this evening.

Vehicle Into a Utility Pole

Henrietta Fire and EMS responded this afternoon to Henrietta Pittsford Town Line Rd for the report of a vehicle into a utility pole. Engine 652 went on location with a vehicle into a pole with injuries. The cause of the accident is under investigation.

MVA Person Trapped

Fishers Firefighters responded this afternoon for the report of a vehicle roll over with a person trapped on Boughton Hill Rd. Fishers command reported two patients with people trapped. The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Firefighter Injured

While training this morning, Henrietta 646 called their dispatch and requested a ALS ambulance to their training site on Calkins Rd and Hylan Dr. 646 further reported a firefighter with head and back injuries. The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Pittsford Fire, Pittsford Ambulance, Monroe County Sheriffs and Nazareth Campus Safety responded for the Motor Vehicle Accident with Injuries at East Ave and North Campus Drive. Pittsford Ambulance transported one pt with minor injuries. The cause is still under investigation.

MVA Person Trapped

Rochester Firefighters responded this evening for a mva with the report of people trapped on North Union St. Engine 17 went on location with the police. Engine 17 further reported they would need the Rescue to pop a couple of doors. Battalion 3 reported they removed three victims from two cars. The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Rochester Firefighters responded this afternoon for a porch fire on Meigs St. Battalion 3 was on location with a small fire on the porch. Battalion 3 further reported he would keep Engine 1 and Truck 4. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
